Deputy Mayor Kylie Grzybek

Deputy Mayor Kylie Grzybek is passionate about Geelong and wants to contribute to a professional council that can improve our city and the lives of our ratepayers.

Councillor Grzybek has been a resident of Lara since her family moved here 40 years ago. She went to school in Lara and Corio, and is now happy to see her own children go to school in Lara. She works at the Transport Accident Commission (TAC).

Councillor Grzybek is a passionate member of her community and serves as the Secretary to the Lara United Football Club, a community member of the Lara Secondary College School Council, and Deputy Chair of the Community Advisory Group for the Prison Expansion project.

Despite the City’s challenges she believes the future can be brighter than our proud history if we work hard together.

Councillor Grzybek hopes to achieve many things in her first term as Councillor and now Deputy Mayor:

  • Work closely with the Mayor to continue to deliver a professional council for the people of Geelong and provide value for money for the resident.
  • I will strongly advocate for the people of the north to ensure we receive an equitable share of services.
  • Lastly, I am proud to be part of a Council that listens to the residents and acts accordingly.

Councillor Grzybek’s favourite thing about Geelong is the optimism of our hard working, resilient people of the north. She is also a soccer fan and loves both A-League teams, Melbourne Victory and our very own Western United!
