This year, we are again proudly supporting the Geelong Giving Tree Appeal.
Last year the Geelong Giving Tree Appeal converted the funds raised by the appeal into e-gift cards and helped support over 3,200 families and
individuals across Greater Geelong to enjoy Christmas Day.
For those who can, we encourage you to support those in need in our community.
The rising cost of living has impacted many
people and families in our community who are facing challenging times, finding
stable accommodation, employment and paying bills. For many, that means
surviving week to week on limited funds.
By donating what you can to the appeal, you’ll be sharing the joy of Christmas.
Meli, in partnership with The Sexual Assault and Family Violence Centre, are running the 22nd Geelong Giving Tree Appeal to support the many local families and individuals who need a helping hand.
How your donation will help
- $100 can help a family host a Christmas lunch and create lifelong memories together.
- $50 could buy two movie tickets for an adult and a child
- $25 can help a family buy a small toy for their child at Christmas.
How to get involved
You can:
- donate to the Geelong Giving Tree Appeal between 11 November and 9 December
- visit us at the City of Greater Geelong's Christmas in Geelong launch at Steampacket Gardens on Saturday 11 November to help celebrate the first day of the Appeal and purchase one of our special Giving Tree Kindness Chocolates from our marquee
- run a fundraiser at your business, school, or community group, and donate to the Appeal between 11 November and 9 December
- donate by visiting the Geelong Giving Tree Appeal website - every dollar makes a difference and can make a difference to a person’s life.
