Disability Access and Inclusion Plan

Our Disability Access and Inclusion Plan guides how the City continues to work on building an accessible and inclusive community for all.

People with disability are a vital part of Greater Geelong’s community as residents, employees, business owners, artists, volunteers, tourists and visitors.

The Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2024-28 outlines our actions to create a city that is more accessible, inclusive, welcoming and supports the full participation of people with disability.

The Plan is framed around the four key priority areas Access, Inclusion and Participation, Employment and Community Attitudes. It was adopted by Council on 27 August 2024.

We are committed to working with people with disability, their carers and supporters to guide the implementation of the new plan. The plan will be reported on annually in the City of Greater Geelong Annual Report.

The plan was developed with extensive community engagement. To view reports on the engagement, visit the Have Your Say page.

This is the City's sixth Disability Access and Inclusion Plan. A Final Report on the previous four-year plan is available to download below.

This plan will be provided in an updated design and an Easy Read version. To request copies when they become available, please email [email protected]
