Youth environment group - Green Effect Movement

We are young people who are passionate about sustainability and the environment and recognises the impact of climate change, and the need for a sustainable society.

We believe that protecting and advocating for the environment is core and fundamental to our future and wellbeing. We aim to educate young people in the community, as well as each other, about the environment, sustainability and climate change.

Most importantly we want to provide opportunities for young people to be involved, active and engaged around these topics, as well as empowering a larger community of young people to make their own changes or actions in their section of the community. We also want to provide a space for young people to connect and meet likeminded people, have fun and build skills.

Meetings are every fortnight on a Wednesday 4.15-5.15pm at Waurn Ponds Library. If you can't come along to meetings, there is also a distribution list you can join to stay up to date with what's happening.

Events and activities

3216 also provides events and activities for 12-25 year olds. These include holiday programs, and partnerships with such organisations as Grovedale Neighbourhood Hub, Waurn Ponds Library, and the Salvation Army.

Check our events page for upcoming programs.
