Community Infrastructure Strategy

Revitalising Central Geelong is developing a Community Infrastructure strategy in consultation with the community to identify community infrastructure required to support an increased population in central Geelong.

Draft Report
The draft report is available for comment from 5 June.

The report is intended to inform the provision and delivery of community infrastructure through planning, partnerships and advocacy.

The report:

  • Identifies existing and planned community infrastructure within central Geelong;
  • Establishes the future demand for community infrastructure in central Geelong based on the forecast population to 2028;
  • Identifies shortfalls for future community infrastructure provision;
  • Analyses trends and delivery models for the provision of community infrastructure and services within the Central Business Districts, including details of precedent/comparable models and cities.
