Crafty Kids: Pre-School Art Classes 2017

The National Wool Museum will be continuing their exciting classes for kids from preschool to prep in 2017 in Term 3.

Come and join in our friendly and fun Saturday morning art and craft classes with our qualified art teacher – we’ll even clean up after you! 

There are different themes each week!

We explore sensory play, a variety of natural materials, recycling, upcycling, and more.

5 August - Wacky Weaving - woolly woven sheep and plate weaving using wool, yarn and material scraps. 

12 August - Mark making with machines - look at all the different machines in the wool museum then spin, twist, and pull to paint and draw using simple machines.

19 August Colourful Dyes - how is colour made? how do we make new colours and patterns? Let's find out by exploring simple dye techniques. 

26 August - Texture in the Museum - what textures can you find in the museum? Texture rubbing hunt and printing using found objects.

2 SeptemberYarning About - use different types of yarn to create a sculpture and paint with yarn. 

9 September - Felt Fashion - make fun things to wear using felt.

16 September - Favourite Things - what were your favourite activities this year? Let's revisit some of our most popular projects for our last session of 2017.
