Geelong is taking recycling to a new level as the first Australian city to run a pilot of food waste compost units in households.


Barwon Heads secured a community grant from Future Proofing Geelong and installed solar panel systems on five community buildings.

Council to contribute $6M towards Simonds Stadium stage four redevelopment

The City of Greater Geelong has agreed, in principle, to provide up to $6 million towards the stage four redevelopment of Simonds Stadium on the condition that the State Government assumes management and operations of the stadium and Kardinia Park and absolves council of any ongoing financial contributions.
