Apply for a Pensioner Rates Rebate

Your application for a Pensioner Rates Rebate can be done in person at any of our Customer Service Centres.

You will need to:

  1. Download and complete an application form from the Department of Human Services website
  2. Visit one of our Customer Service Centres
  3. Bring your pension card for verification purposes.

Our Customer Service Team will forward your completed application to our Revenue Department for processing.

Pensioner Rates Rebate – What cards are acceptable?
If you have a pension concession card, the property is your principal place of residence and you have not claimed in the current financial year.

The blue pensioner concession card as well as the Gold Veterans Affairs Card with TPI or War Widow in the bottom left hand corner are all acceptable to claim the Pensioner Rebate.

Please note: Health Care Cards cannot be used to claim this rebate.

Rates Rebates - Is there any other rate discount available?
No. To provide a discount to certain ratepayers, all other ratepayers will have to fund the discount. 

The pensioner rebate provided to our ratepayers is funded by the State Government.
