Ashby Heritage Review 2009
A draft study of the heritage significance of Geelong West has recently been undertaken by Authentic Heritage Services, a consultant working on the City's behalf.
The study is known as the Ashby Heritage Review. The Review recommends the inclusion of approximately 1709 properties within 5 heritage areas and a further 7 individually significant properties to be incorporated into Heritage Overlays.
The study was adopted by Council in January 2010. Council is currently preparing to commence a formal amendment process to incorporate the recommendations of the study into the Greater Geelong Planning Scheme.
