Pelargonium Collection
Pelargonium are well known garden plants. They are great performers in drought conditions.
 Most gardeners would know what a Geranium is as they have been popular garden plants in and out of fashion for decades. Geranium is the common name for Pelargonium.
The Pelargonium collection at the Geelong Botanic Gardens is renowned and we have an extensive collection of popular cultivars and species. The collection is recognized as being important and is registered with the Garden Plant Conservation Association of Australia Inc.
There are many different types of Pelargonium. At the Botanic Gardens we display a number of groups including the Regal Pelagonium, Zonal Pelargonium, Ivy and Scented leaf pelargonums and species. At any time of the year you will find a display of plants in the 'Pele House'.
The Pelargonium Society meets at the Geelong Botanic Gardens the 4th Thursday of each month. For more information contact us.
