Park and Ride - Kardinia Park
We run a Park and Ride service from Kardinia Park, which is a cheap and easy way to travel to and from work.
Service and Fees
Workers can park at Kardinia Park and travel into Central Geelong and back on public buses for only $2 per day. This service is available from Monday to Friday.
Parking
Workers can park all day for free in the designated parking area at Kardinia Park (in the south east corner of the park) - access via the Moorabool Street/Park Crescent entrance, opposite De Grandi Sport and Cycle.
If this parking area is full, additional free all day parking is available behind the Senior Citizens Centre and on Park Crescent.
All of these parking areas are accessible 24 hours a day from Monday to Friday.
There is signage located at the Moorabool Street/Park Crescent entrance to Kardinia Park. Additional signage is located inside the entrance directing passengers to the designated parking area.
Tickets
The daily $2 is payable to the ticket machine next to the bus stop at the Moorabool Street/Park Crescent entrance to Kardinia Park (also opposite De Grandi Sport and Cycle). Passengers then show the ticket from the ticket machine to the bus driver when they board a McHarrys or Benders bus.
Passengers also keep this ticket to show the driver on the return trip.
Bus Timetable
Between 7:30am and 9:30am there are several buses running from Kardinia Park to a number of drop off points in Central Geelong. Average travel time via these buses is approximately 7 minutes.
For the return trip to Kardinia Park, passengers catch a southbound Benders or McHarrys bus from one of three Central Geelong bus stops to return to their car.
