Art Without Borders - An Exhibition of Works from Migrant Women
Box Hill Community Arts Centre artist in resident, Judy Leong, commenced working with migrant women at the centre in August 2009.

A series of workshops were structured for migrant women (newly arrived, disadvantaged or disconnected) to explore in a creative way their personal journey from country of birth to their new home here in Australia. Using textiles such as felt, fabric paints and patchwork fabric over a 10-week period, the women worked together to create an art quilt that showcased their achievement.

This quilt forms part of the exhibition, along with canvas works and embroidered pieces.
