Cr Keith Fagg
Mayor
Keith Fagg was officially sworn in as the City of Greater Geelong’s first directly elected Mayor on Monday 5 November 2012.
Cr Fagg has a Bachelor of Economics with honours from La Trobe University as well as a Certificate of Management from the Gordon Institute of Tafe.
Prior to taking on the role of Mayor, Cr Fagg has been a Director at Fagg’s Mitre 10 since 1984. He has also been employed in various positions at the Victorian Chamber of Manufacturers, Uniting Church in Australia and the Australian Resources Development Bank.
Cr Fagg is passionate about his community and is a member of many local and regional community organisations and boards. He has been a member of the Rotary Club of Highton Kardinia since 1992.
Other community groups he is involved with include the Salvation Army Geelong Advisory Board, Hope Bereavement Care Inc., Uniting Church, St Laurence Community Services Board and Bravehearts.
In 2001 Cr Fagg was awarded an Australian Centenary Medal for service to Rural Ambulance Victoria.
Cr Fagg has three adult children with his wife Heather. He enjoys running and has run in 15 marathons since 2005. His other interests include music, theatre and recently cycling.
