The long-awaited redevelopment of
the Barwon Rowing Club is now
complete.
With a new kitchen, meeting rooms, social
rooms, toilets, change rooms and a wheelchair
access lift, the club is much better equipped to
host a wide variety of programs and major events.
The $350,000 redevelopment was funded by
the State Government ($250,000) and the City
($100,000).
As the oldest rowing club in our region, the
Barwon Rowing Club has become a Geelong
icon and this upgrade will ensure it remains one
for many years to come.
Ongoing works to improve facilities along
the Barwon River will help to further cement
Geelong as a key rowing destination.
