Stimulate the senses with the colours and scents of the amazing plant collection as you explore this renowned regional garden.  Relax on the lawns in peaceful surroundings as you experience one of Geelong's best kept secrets.

You'll be inspired to keep gardening by the contemporary design and 'water-wise' plantings of the 21st Century Garden. Traditionalists will revel in the heritage garden and its peaceful beauty.

The Geelong Botanic Garden is a social place where you can meet for a relaxing catch-up at the Teahouse, picnic on the lawns or book your wedding or special occassion.

We look after bookings for events such as weddings, naming ceremonies, commitment ceremonies and for special occasion photography. 

Our Friends of the Geelong Botanic Gardens group provides visitor services including guided walks, a Tea House, plant sales and a program of talks.

Open daily, the Geelong Botanic Gardens is situation in Eastern Park, a short walk from the Geelong CBD.

Eastern Park - Can I book the BBQs?
No it is not possible to make a reservation for the BBQs in Eastern Park.

Geelong Botanic Gardens - Are the Gardens wheelchair friendly?
People in wheelchairs can access most parts of the gardens, however there are some steps and gravel paths which are not accessible by wheelchairs.

Disabled entry is via the front entrance (21st Century Garden).

Geelong Botanic Gardens - Can I book the Geelong Play Space?
The Geelong Botanic Gardens does not book the Play Space.  Please refer to the Geelong Play Space for further information.

Geelong Botanic Gardens - Can I have a private ceremony, special occasion or take wedding photographs in the Gardens?
It is possible to have a special occasion in the Geelong Botanic Gardens, such as a Wedding Ceremony, Naming Ceremony or Commitment Ceremony.

You can also arrange to take photographs of a special occasion in the Gardens.

Ball sports and riding of bikes are not permitted in the Geelong Botanic Gardens.

The Geelong Botanic Gardens are unable to supply plants for tree planting, fundraising, or landscape projects.
 
We suggest that you contact local nurseries or consider purchasing plants from the Friends of Geelong Botanic Gardens through their regular plant sales.

The Friends of Geelong Botanic Gardens have plant sales and there are 3 opportunities.

Daily from the Tea House - a small selection
Weekly from the nursery - 9am to 12pm every Wednesday

Bus
