Our work in the community aims to improve quality of life of our residents.
We have a wide range of projects tackling priority issues in our region. Supporting our ageing population, promoting healthy living, improving community infrastructure and social connection. Here are a handful of our current projects.
Community Gardens
Community Gardens are places where people come together to grow food and learn the skills of fruit and vegetable growing.
Corio/Norlane Renewal
There has been alot of work done in the Corio and Norlane areas over the past 10 years ranging from urban renewal projects to school regeneration.
Kinder Upgrades
We are upgrading and extending many of our kinders to modernise them, meet high levels of growth and increase capacity when the Federal Government’s new policy of
15 hours a week kinder for all four-year-olds comes into effect.
Hoarding
Hoarding is when a person fills their house and/or yard with an unreasonable amount of possessions. The person may be unable to discard possessions that appear to be useless or of little value.

Leopold Community Hub
A new community hub next to Leopold Primary School will provide a range of services for families.
Men's Sheds
A men's shed is a community space where men of all ages can meet and share and learn skills. The aim is to create a supportive and welcoming space where men can feel useful and contribute to their community in a practical way.
Neighbourhood Houses
Neighbourhood houses bring people together and provide an informal environment for learning and social connection.
