Located between the Geelong suburbs of Drumcondra and Rippleside, Rippleside Park is one of the region's most-visited open spaces. It boasts an attractive outlook beside Corio Bay with views back to the city and down the bay towards the Bellarine Peninsula. Also in the picture is the local tug fleet, berthed at a nearby pier.

The park is a mix of grassed open space - ideal for kicking a football, flying a kite or a game of cricket - treed areas and a sandy beach. There is also a small pier popular with anglers.

Excellent barbecue and picnic facilities complement the natural environment, and there are a number of pavilions providing shelter. There is also a Japanese restaurant.

The park's latest addition is a huge adventure playground, built with the help of extensive community participation. It features swings, bridges, turrets and all manner of play paraphernalia to entice youngsters. There are picnic tables where mums and dads can watch as the children have some fun in the fenced playground.

The park is also at the northern end of the Bayside Bollards Walk with a sealed path following the water's edge to the city. Dozens of colourful bollards depicting characters from Geelong's past are dotted along the track. Another sealed path up from the park runs along the cliff top to the city.

Rippleside Park sits at the corner of the Princes Highway and Bell Parade, marking the turn-off to the attractions of Waterfront Geelong.
