Memory Bank Education Program

In a changing world where is memory held?

Memory Bank is a collection of people's stories about their connections to local places.

Through exploration of the Memory Bank exhibition, students participating in the Museum's education program will discover the significance that people place on areas around our district. They will be encouraged to identify where they come from on a map, and then explore a place which holds special significance to them.

Classes will then be provided with a range of materials and asked to create their own small version of their special place within a box, or diorama, and to write a quote about why this place is special to them. Finished boxes and quotes will be recorded digitally for possible inclusion on the Connecting Identities website.
