Proposed Training Venue
Not only does Geelong as a city represent the perfect combination of location, climate, access, accommodation, facilities and lifestyle as a training venue, the Geelong Baseball Centre (GBC) is an international standard facility with a reputation for excellence.
The purpose built facility is one of the finest in the Southern Hemisphere and is recognised as an international standard baseball centre. It is centrally located at the Waurn Ponds Valley Parklands, just minutes from the centre of Geelong and at the gateway to Surf Coast beaches and the Great Ocean Road.
The GBC offers many advantages over other Australian centres and is comparable to baseball venues around the globe in terms of standard of facilities and equipment, location and access.
The GBC was used by the Japanese Major League Baseball Team, Chiba Lotte Marines for their spring training venue in 2006 and 2007.
