River Loop Ride:

Starting points: Queens Park Bride (Mel ref 227 E3) or Barwon Valley Park (Mel ref 227 H7).

Enjoy a scenic meander along the Barwon River at any time of the year. Up one side and down the other - no hills, just easy cycling with lots to see. Places to cross the river are at the Queens Road Bridge, Princes Bridge, the McIntyre Footbridge or at Breakwater Roads. Choose the distance that suits you.

Limeburners Point:

Starting points: Rippleside Park (Mel ref 226 B9) or Limeburners Point (228 H1).

This ride is great in summer - bring your bathers and stop for a swim when you get hot. Simply follow the bike path along the foreshore of Corio Bay. View all the attractions of the Geelong's Foreshore including the Botanic Gardens, the Eastern Beach Seabaths, the Carousel, historic buildings, bollards and the boardwalk.

City Loop:

Starting at Eastern Beach, cycle along the waterfront of Geelong past Steampacket Place. Continue on the bike path to Rippleside Park and then wind your way along the back streets to where the bike path links onto the old railway line. Follow this linear pathway through the suburbs of Geelong North and Hamlyn Heights.

After a descent, you'll find yourself on the banks of the Barwon River at Fyansford. At the Queens Road Bridge, you have the choice of crossing to the other side of the river or continuing on the side you're already on. At the southern end on the river, the path turns to gravel and winds along the edge of the Barwon Valley Golf Course - just keep the river in sight and you won't get lost.

The bike path comes out on Breakwater Road where it is a quick ride on quiet backstreets to Eastern Park. Meander through the parks to Limeburners Point, where you can join the bike path again until you are back where you started.
