The Drysdale Clifton Springs Structure Plan 1992 established a strategic framework to guide the growth and development of Drysdale and Clifton Springs over a ten to fifteen year period. The Structure Plan has been reviewed and a new Structure Plan was adopted on the 14 April 2009. The Structure Plan identifies growth directions for the townships until 2021.

Council will now seek authorisation from the Minister for Planning to prepare an Amendment to have the Structure Plan included in the Greater Geelong Planning Scheme. The Amendment process will include public exhibition and an opportunity for submissions.
