Heritage Geelong provides services such as providing financial assistance for capital works involving the restoration of historic buildings, sites, works or objects.
Eligibility for Heritage Geelong loans is limited to buildings, places or structures that are:
- Located in areas subject to Urban Conservation Studies (such as Bellarine, Geelong, Geelong West, Newtown and Greater Geelong Outer Areas Heritage Study)
- Recognised to have heritage value to the community.
Financial assistance is available in the form of low interest loans, the fund revolves as loans are repaid, so that am much benefit as possible can be offered to participants. The time allowed for the repayment of loans ranges from one to four years.
