Council provides a low interest loan scheme to assist property owners undertake appropriate conservation works to their heritage building. Loans are approved by a committee known as Heritage Geelong. Loan applications must comply with the eligibility criteria which is set out in the criteria guidelines available from Council.

To date financial assistance has been provided to over 60 property owners for works valued in excess of $300,000. The current interest rate (as at January 2003) is 1.5%. For further details contact Council's Heritage Planner on (03) 5227 0847.
