The Aboriginal protocol sets out a framework for the consideration of development applications that Council will be required to refer to the Wathaurong Aboriginal Cooperative (WAC) and also imposes obligations on the WAC.

Aboriginal cultural heritage sites will be more effectively managed and protected through the terms of this protocol.
