The Lara Lake Pre-school project is the construction of a new building and relocation of the present pre-school that operates out of a Uniting Church-owned building. The three current pre-schools in the area are operating at full capacity.

There is a long-term demand for the centre. The project is urgent, given changed in building regulation for pre-schools. The preferred location to construct a new facility would improve the location spread of all three pre-schools.

The outcome would be a new council owned asset, managed by the committee, with the support of the Lara Lake Primary school . Baade Harbour Australia Pty Ltd has been engaged as the Architects for the project. There are three stages in construction, and it is envisaged that construction of stage 1 and 2 will be finished in time for term 2 next year.
