Environmental Health Services assists Council's Environment Department with issues relating to Beach Quality. Issues generally arise as a result of stormwater from drains and streams flowing into the bay and is a major factor affecting beach quality, therefore swimmers need to be cautious. When water quality issues arise, warning and advisory signs will be posted around beach areas notifying swimmers of any issues relating to the quality of the water.
