Council is responsible to remove any pest infestations on its own land. Importance is placed on removing immediate problems like wasp or bee infestations in public open spaces such as footpaths, park/reserves and other places of gathering, as injury may occur if left untreated.

Residents are urged to contact Council immediately in such circumstances for prompt action.

Council implements an ongoing pest control program to monitor and treat pest infestations.

For pest notifications during business hours contact the Health Services on (03) 5227 0411.  If an issue occurs after hours and is not of a serious nature, the matter will be handled on the next working day.
