Site 9 - Breamlea

Breamlea township adjoins significant tidal affected saltmarshes which are reqularly monitored and treated, in particular, after high tides and rainfall activity.  Aerial application, depending on environmental conditions, is of extreme benefit in areas such as this, as a significant area can be treated with little impact on the surrounding environment.  Even with successful monitoring and treatment of these mosquito breeding sites, air-borne mosquitoes may unfortunately still be present, due to the dense and heavily vegetated environment around the township, which provides for ideal harbourage of mosquitoes.
