Site 11 - Point Henry
The saltwater marshes along Point Henry could impact on surrounding townships such as Moolap, Newcomb, Whittington, East Geelong and even Geelong. Due to the location of these tidal and rainfall activity marshes along the Point Henry foreshore, aerial treatment is quite effective. This allows for closer monitoring of drains and easements throughout the township. At this stage, the salt pans are not considered a potential mosquito breeding site due to their current use. The Botanical Gardens is an ideal environment for the harbourage of air-borne mosquitoes due to the heavy vegetation.
