For on-going issues relating to smoking chimney's, odours, dust or any other air pollution in a residential area, please contact the City's Environmental Health Department on (03) 5227 0411.

During the winter season or cool nights, wood heaters are generally used by homes in the municipality.

If you home has a wood heater, please consider the smoke emissions that are generated when the fire is in use. Smoke emissions may trigger existing medical conditions for surrounding residents or may simply cause a nuisance as clean clothes on a washing line could be affected.

There are many helpful hints the City's Environmental Health Department can provide to wood heater owners to reduce smoke emissions and nuisance complaints.
