Family Day Care is a home-based childcare service operated by the City of Greater Geelong and funded by the Commonwealth Government.
Family Day Seeking New Care Providers
reasonably priced, flexible child care to suit the differing needs of individual families. The scheme is an approved service for the Child Care Benefit, government subsidy on child care.
Family Day Care offers children under 12-years-old quality childcare in the homes of registered Care Providers. Care is provided for up to 4 children not attending school, and 3 children attending school. The maximum number of children in care at any one time is 7 (including the Care Provider's own children).
Care Providers do not need formal qualifications but must meet strict selection criteria to become registered with the scheme. Relevant experience in the childcare field is an advantage.
