Resources access to the development of Assisted Inclusion Readiness Planning, Service Support Planning,
additional funding options, a resource library, newsletter and Professional Training.

Funding options include:

  • Special Needs Subsidy Scheme (SNSS) or Inclusion Support Subsidy (ISS).
    Supports children with high support needs through the provision of additional staff, specialist
    equipment and training.
  • Flexible Support Pool (FSP) formerly known as Casual Support Pool (time limited funding to meet immediate short term inclusion needs of services).
  • Casual Bi-lingual Funding (time limited funding to access a casual bi-lingual worker to support a child
    from a cultural and linguistically diverse background).

Regular newsletter includes:

  • Articles of interest in the areas of disability, multiculturalism and inclusive practices.
  • Resource library.
  • Provides specialist toys, book, posters, videos and information to support inclusion in Children's Services.
  • Library brochure available.
  • Education/Inservice Training.
  • Request for Children's Services staff training can be made either with a referral directly to the Professional Support Co-ordinator or discussed with BISA staff.
