In 2003, the City of Greater of Geelong introduced life long registration tags, which are yellow in colour.

The lifelong yellow tags avoid the need for pet owners to fit new tags to their pet every year. This simplifies registration renewals and reduces waste.

Pet owners must ensure the registration tag is fitted securely to their pet's collar. Your pet cannot be identified unless it is wearing its registration tag.

If a lifelong tag is lost, a replacement tag can be collected FREE of charge from any of the City's Customer Service Centres.
