THE AIMS OF PROPERTY MAINTENANCE ARE TO: - Undertake home maintenance tasks necessary to maintain the security and safety of consumers homes.
- Support carers of frail older people, people with disabilities by providing assistance with tasks necessary to maintain a comfortable, healthy home environment.
EXAMPLES OF WORKS ARE: - the installation of disability aids (grab rails, hand held showers, ramps) Disability aids are installed upon referral from an Occupational Therapist
- minor household repairs which do not require the skills of a trades person
- modification of daily living aids such as bed raisers and chair raisers.
YOUR HOME - OUR EMPLOYEES WORKPLACE
Under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the home where the care of a client is provided is a workplace. It is the responsibility of the occupier of the home to provide, as far as reasonable, a safe working environment for workers coming into their home.

ASSESSMENT AND ELIGIBILITY
All clients are required to undertake an assessment to determine eligibility and to ensure services provided meet individual needs. An interpreter can be provided during assessment if required. Our staff are caring, professional personnel, trained to identify your requirements and to also recognise when you may require a change in your service provision.
As part of the assessment process our professional staff will be able to identify additional services you may require and provide you with additional information regarding these services and providers.
REVIEW OF SERVICES AND NEED
An important part of our service provision is reviewing the services provided and your needs. We commit to periodically re-evaluating your services and ensuring that the services provided are appropriate to your needs. Service reviews will be discussed at the time of assessment.

We collect your personal information to provide and improve our services to you and to fulfil our statutory obligations. You will be informed at the time of your assessment as to what information is required and how it will be used to meet your needs.
SERVICE COSTS
At the time of assessment for eligibility the Assessment Officer will discuss service costs with you.
