Aged and Disability Services provide a range of in home support services maintaining a safe, secure, healthy home environment to enable frail older people and people with disabilities to live independently.
HOME CARE
Home Care Services are to:
- Provide house cleaning services appropriate to the individual's level of physical functioning and their cultural norms; and
- Ensure services are provided in a way which enhances and maintains an individual's abilities and independence.
PERSONAL CARE
Personal Care services are those tasks which a person would normally do for themselves but because of illness, disability or frailty they are unable to perform without the assistance of another person.
Example: Assistance (or supervision) with bathing, showering or sponging.
RESPITE SERVICES
Respite Services support the caring relationship by providing carers of frail older people and people (of any age) with disabilities with a break from their caring responsibilities. Respite provides an opportunity for the person being cared for to have a break, or an outing without their usual carer.
YOUR HOME - OUR EMPLOYEES WORKPLACE
Under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the home where the care of a client is provided is a workplace.
It is the responsibility of the occupier of the home to provide, as far as reasonable, a safe working environment for workers coming into their home.

ASSESSMENT AND ELIGIBILITY
All clients are required to undertake an assessment to determine eligibility and to ensure services provided meet individual needs. Our staff are caring, professional personnel, trained to identify your requirements and to also recognise when you may require a change in your service provision.
REVIEW OF SERVICES AND NEED
An important part of our service provision is reviewing the services provided and your needs. We commit to periodically re-evaluating your services and to ensuring that the services provided are appropriate to your needs. Service reviews will be discussed at the time of assessment.

The City of Greater Geelong is committed to the continued protection of your personal information. We collect your personal information to provide and improve our services to you and to fulfil our statutory obligations. You will be informed at the time of your assessment as to what information is required and how it will be used to meet your needs.
SERVICE COSTS
At the time of assessment for eligibility the Assessment Officer will discuss service costs with you.
