The City of Greater Geelong is calling on young people to take part in the fifth annual Get on Board Beach Day.
Taking place at Ocean Grove Main Beach on Sunday 6 April, Get on Board is a day for young people to surf, skate, create art and listen to music.
Registrations have opened for the surf events, which include the learn to surf sessions and the fun tag-team surf event.
"All the places for last year's surf events filled quickly so I encourage young people to register now so they don't miss out," the City's Youth portfolio holder Cr Jan Farrell said.
"It's not quite the Rip Curl Pro; you don't event need to have surfed before to take part. It's all about having a go and having fun," she said.
"For those not so interested in surfing, there'll be skating, beach art and live music - plus we have lots of spot prizes to give away including Ipods."
"Get on Board Day is a great way to cap off the school holidays - and the best part is it's all free," Cr Farrell said.
