To stage an event in the City of Greater Geelong, an Event Application Form must be completed. This application registers your interest in organising an event in Geelong.
Please allow a minimum of six weeks for your event application form to be processed. Large or major events will require a minimum six-month planning period.
Event organisers should use the Events Planning Guide to develop a suitable Event Plan. The Event Plan should, at a minimum, include a Risk Assessment.

What is an event?
By definition, an event is any planned activity where an open area, facility, road or structure is used by more people than usually found in that area. This activity may affect the location prior to the event, during and after the event.
