OTHER USEFUL INFORMATION FOR ENTERING SHOOT OUT GEELONG
SHOOT OUT GEELONG MUSIC LIBRARY

Come in a listen to some tracks to determine what might work with your film. The Music Library is open from 9.00AM until 5.00Pm daily. It will also be available during the event - but there may be queues!
SHOOTING STARS INFORMATION
The first and only film festival providing actors with the opportunity of being seen again and again and again is calling for actors who like a challenge and have a desire to bask in the spotlight.
The Shoot Out Geelong 24-Hour Filmmaking Festival is offering actors an opportunity to show how much they want to be a star - a Shoot Out Shooting Star, that is!
The object of the Shooting Star competition is for actors (16-years and older) to appear in as many films made across the Festival weekend as possible in the 24-hour period. The most ambitious Shooting Star is the one who manages to make a legitimate appearance in the most number of films.
How it works? During the 24-hour filming period, directors will be able to contact the actors by phone. If a Shooting Star is asked to appear in a film, the director or producer must verify the legitimacy of the appearance by signing the actor's release form. It's that simple.
The Shooting Star who racks up the most appearances in the 24-hour period will be presented with their prize during the official Shoot Out Geelong Awards and Screening Ceremony on Sunday evening.
All Shooting Stars that register prior to Wednesday 19 September will be included in a Shooting Stars contacts sheet to be given to every team.

JUDGES
All Films firstly go through our Preliminary Judging Panel, headed by our head of Judging, Fiona Dunbar. The Preliminary Judging Panel is made up of movie enthusiasts, entertainment and film industry personnel from the local region. They work in shifts through the night to determine the Top Ten Films. All films are seen by at least 2 judges. Judges will be looking for the best films. The films will be judged on their creativity, uniqueness, the idea of the film and its execution, not the technology used to make it slick. Our Top Ten Films are then judged at the Sunday Night screening by a panel of VIP judges.
