Geographic Units
Local level data (at least to the LGA level) is required to examine alcohol and drug-use and related harms at the local level. Consequently, direct measures of the prevalence of drug use, such as those derived from population surveys are not suited for local area analysis. All the datasets used in this research have geographic identifiers specifically at the LGA level or to postcode.
