The DIAC Regional Outreach Officer (ROO) network has been established to assist regional employers access visa information and advice.

Regional Outreach Officers make regular visits to regional areas to meet and provide assistance to employers. When skilled job vacancies cannot be filled locally employers in regional Victoria wanting information and advice on employing skilled migrants can contact the Outreach Officer network.

The Regional Outreach Officer network is working closely with all levels of government and regional stakeholders to raise awareness about state-specific and regional migration. More information about DIAC services can be found at www.immi.gov.au

DIAC Industry Advisors

The Department Immigration And Citizenship is working in partnership with industry to help employers better understand how to use immigration services to address skilled labour shortages through skilled migration. DIAC has appointed 15 Industry Advisors in 20 Industry groups.

The Industry Advisors provide expert support to employers who want to employ skilled overseas workers. They provide information on visa options, immigration mechanisms, e-lodgement and how to use the Skill Matching Database.
