Hospitals
Geelong is the major regional centre for medical and allied health services for south-west Victoria. More than 4,000 people are employed in this industry, with the three major hospitals - Geelong Hospital, St John of God Hospital and Geelong Private Hospital - providing a wide range of specialised facilities and services to the community.
Barwon Health
Barwon Health is Victoria's largest regional health care provider. Through our extensive range of services and programs we provide general and specialist hospital, rehabilitation, residential and community services for over 90% of the Geelong community and to an increasing number of residents across the Barwon south-western region.
Geelong Hospital
The Geelong Hospital is the largest regional hospital in Victoria, and has full general medical and surgical departments as well as specialty units, paediatrics, obstetrics and psychiatry. The Geelong Hospital is a key teaching hospital for the University of Melbourne and maintains close links with other teaching hospitals such as St. Vincent's and the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne.
