Economic Development Strategy
Economic Development is a priority area for the City of Greater Geelong and in late 2005 the City published its Geelong Economic Development Strategy to enable greater focus on pursuing initiatives that promote maximum investment and employment growth in Geelong.

Regional Taskforces
The Economic Development Unit also facilitates two industry-based taskforces in Biotechnology and Seafood as well as participating on a range of other industry specific groups such as the Geelong Region Alliance (G21), Geelong Manufacturing Council, the Geelong Business Network, the Geelong Export Network, and the SmartGeelong Network.
