Cr David Saunderson JP was elected in March 2001 for the Cowie Ward on a "Back to Basics" platform, and was re-elected for the ward in November 2004.
A life-long resident of the area he represents, David represents Council on a number of internal and external committees, including:
- DW Hope Centre Feasibility Working Group
- Windsor Park Steering Committee

Cr Saunderson said his main aim for Council was to deliver top quality services that met communities' expectations as well as working to improve community consultation processes.
Cr David Saunderson is a proud member of the Australian Labor Party.
